Las modificaciones a este ordenamiento tienen por objeto optimizar la operación y fortalecer las funciones que corresponden a la SEP en materia de educación media superior tecnológica industrial, tecnológica agropecuaria y de ciencias del mar, por lo que se propone convertir las tres direcciones generales que actualmente realizan dichas actividades en la Unidad de Educación Media Superior Tecnológica Industrial y de Servicios, y la Unidad de Educación Media Superior Tecnológica Agropecuaria y Ciencias del Mar. 

The modifications are intended to optimize the operation and reinforced the functions that correspond to the SEP in the field of industrial technological, agricultural technology and marine sciences education, so it is proposed to convert the three directorate general that currently do such activities, in the Unit of Technological Industrial Education and Services, and the Unit of Technological Agriculture and Marine Sciences Education.
