A través del presente Acuerdo el Gobierno del Estado de México manifiesta su conformidad para asumir las funciones a que se refiere el punto Primero del "Acuerdo por el que la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente establece los requerimientos para la transferencia de funciones en materia de inspección y vigilancia forestal del ámbito federal al Gobierno del Estado de México, publicado en el Diario Oficial de la Federación el día 13 de mayo de 2003 y el 16 de mayo de 2003, en la Gaceta del Gobierno del Estado de México", funciones que llevará a cabo a través de su Organismo Público Descentralizado Protectora de Bosques del Estado de México (PROBOSQUE), el cual cuenta con recursos humanos, recursos materiales y técnicos así como recursos financieros suficientes para asumir dichas funciones de inspección y vigilancia en materia forestal.
