Por medio de la regulación propuesta, se establece que los reconocimientos en enfermería , se entreguen mediante ceremonia solemne el día 12 de mayo de cada año, con el objetivo de celebrar a las personas cuya labor es esta disciplina, que constituyen un pilar en el Sistema Nacional de Salud por su entrega y dedicación en el cuidado de la salud de sus pacientes, para reiterar la gratitud de la Nación a estas mujeres y hombres, en el evento de que el día señalado sea inhábil dicho acto deberá tener verificativo el primer día hábil siguiente. Se establece el 12 de mayo de cada año como el día de las personas cuya labor es la enfermería para lo cual se llevará a efecto la correspondiente ceremonia solemne.
